Places of Interest

 

Lanzarote has several notable tourist attractions (besides the weather) with Timanfaya National Park as the largest.

 

 

Take a bus ride through the volcanic landscape, witness a geyser when water is pored down a hole on the surface, and a steak can be enjoyed in the restaurant cooked on a barbeque over heat from below.

 

Cueva De Los Verdes is a series of underground caverns form by volcanic lava forms. The Sunday tourist market in Teguise is worth a visit. The holiday resorts of Costa, Teguise and Puerto Del Carmen also have wonderful beaches.

 

El Golfo is a collapsed volcano on the west side of the island which has a wonderful green pool. The capital town of Arreclife which is full of designer shops, restaurants, port and beaches.

 

Los Jameos Del Aqua, a place of interest created by the islands famous architect Cesar Manrique featuring tiny blind crabs in an underground lake.
